KAWAYAN fashion design by Anna Frances and Anna Mae Dioso

The fashion label Kawayan (Eng.: Bamboo) was created by two sisters, Anna Frances & Anna Mae Dioso. The talented duo was born in the Philippines, where they also spent the first few years of their childhood. Growing up, they were very much influenced by the diversity of people and various countries. Keeping this is mind,  they wish to create a new lifestyle with their fashion line, the main goal of which is to combine various elements of this diversity without forgetting its origin.

Kawayan – the Bamboo has an important meaning for their label, you can find it’s meaning projected in their fashion. A bamboo is delicate and flexible, but resilient. Over the course of many centuries, it has journeyed across the world, gaining cultural significance wherever it has gone. The sisters' collections reflect this variety in the combination of different essences from different cultures to create something distinct but with a dash of gentle harmony.

Kawayan is always suited to present day trends, without trying to be too individualistic, while at the same time creating exotic and refined pieces.
