Day Three Recap

We started day three with Ediwn Trieu. His Spring/ Summer 2016 collection embraces the differences of East meets West – tracing his roots from Scandinavia and Asia, Edwin knows best how to combine these two continents into master pieces in his clothing line. He mixed sporty, futuristic and modern street fashion into one collection. Edgy details in his pieces are his signature style, and colors of peach to mint-green and white, grey and black were the eye catchers on Edwin's runway.

Mayla’s ready-to-wear Spring/Summer 2016 collection was all about ready-to-wear. Each and every piece glowed in a chic but also natural and laid back bohemian look. Each piece could have been mixed and matched for a day time garden venue in easy flats or you quickly changed into your stilettos for a date night to rock your long, ruffled Mayla dress. Details of ruffles to asymmetric in earth colors, pastel and a beautiful forest green and also floral printed materials were floating on this years’ runway, designed all of course ready-to-wear.

"Fusion of Life" is the theme of Lamija’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection. Lamija’s sculptural silhouettes and traditional craftsmanship in knitting and embroidery also came this season into the forefront. The Bosnian born, talented designer gives us a view through the electronic microscope, expressing forms and shapes of human fertilization. Cut-outs, i.e. eyelets represent the female egg and waves – representing the swimming sperm done through graphical laser cuts were very much pronounced in her collection. Her signature colors black and white were not to miss but this year she also combined red into the S/S16 collection, detailed with lacing. Lamija is known to use only the highest quality of fabrics.
