5 + 1 Swedish Men’s Favourites for Fall

Posted by in FASHION PASSION .

My name is Robin and I am the founder of Are you Karl? - a Swedish site about men’s fashion born out of an unstoppable interest in fashion, art and pop culture. Fashion for men has a lot more to offer than endless pictures from Pitti Uomo, close ups of cuff links and handkerchiefs or questionably dressed athletes. What better way to introduce myself, while writing my first cover story for TAG MARKET, than to share 5 (+ 1) Swedish favourites for fall?

L'Homme Rouge

L’Homme Rouge – Derived from a disbelief in today’s overconsumption L’Homme Rouge (French for the red man) focuses on conscious design and high quality with inspiration from the Swedish west coast, contemporary art and the Scandinavian environment. Their fall collection is very promising and they become stronger and stronger for each season.

Eytys

Eytys – Swedish shoe and accessories brand Eytys has been a favourite of mine since the launch back in 2013. The powerful rubber sole and the purple signature tab at the back has become somewhat of a trademark making them easy to spot in the streets. The classic unisex style Mother is now available in a fantastic spicy madras suede. Highly recommended for fall strolls!

H&M

H&M – Swedish affordable fashion giant H&M gets sharper and sharper for each season when it comes to fashion for men. Their men’s collection for fall and winter 2015 covers all the biggest trends with fuzzy sweaters, turtlenecks, leather, bomber jackets and looser pants. The colour palette of greys and blues has been inspired by the light of a winter beach.

All_Blues

All_Blues – The unisex jewellery brand from Stockholm has quickly become very popular and has been seen on every other fashion conscious Swede. Their new Pyramid Step bracelet in silver and gold are truly great.

Acne Studios

Acne Studios – The Stockholm based fashion house has a multidisciplinary approach to design, coming to life through founder and creative director Jonny Johansson’s interest in photography, art, architecture and contemporary culture. The men’s fall collection with messages like ’Women Power’ and ’Gender Equality’ has been widely debated and is a great example on Johansson’s juxtaposing design.
